Greetings Everyone,

We (the Elders, Pastor Holtorf, Ginger, Justin, and myself) have had multiple meetings and discussions and I am excited to announce that we will be conducting our first physical church service on Sunday, May 31.  How fitting that it will be Pentecost!  We have decided to start with one service to see how it goes and then we will work from there.  Unfortunately, due to our current situation with COVID-19 we will need to conduct our before, during and after service a little differently than normal.  Below are some things to read and think about before attending our service:

Things to think about before our service:

-          We will all need to practice 6 foot social distancing.

-          Questions to ask ourselves before coming to church:

o   Have you come into close contact with someone who has a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis in the past 14 days?

o   Have you traveled out of the area or to a COVID-19 cluster area within the last 14 days?

o   Do you have any of the following: fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell?

o   If you answer yes to any of the above questions; please, stay at home.

-          Masks may be worn, but are not required.

When arriving at church:

-          Please, arrive in good time, to allow for social distancing as we enter the church.

-          Providing the weather is nice, we will have the doors open when you arrive and leave.

-          Unfortunately, we will not be able to have fellowship before or after the service.

What to expect in church:

-          We will be staggering people in every pew, so please sit only where the bulletins are sitting.  The ushers will seat you and guide you through this process.

-          We will have an attendance sheet in the pew with the bulletins.  Please, fill it out and we will have a box(es) for you to put the sheet, in as you leave church.

-          We will have offering plates for you to put your offerings in, as you leave.

-          We will be using bulletins for our service and will not be using the hymnals.

-          We will be having communion that will allow for social distancing and will be explained during the service.

-          We will have the Benediction prior to communion and we will be exiting directly after we receive communion.

-          Sunday school will be held online as it has been, and will continue as such, until Rally Sunday, Sept. 13th, 2020.

I know it’s a lot to think about and it is unfortunate we will have to leave right after communion and unable to have fellowship, but on the positive side we will be able to worship and have communion together once again!  Also, please note that if you are unable or choose not to attend the service, it will be recorded as usual, but will not be available for viewing until a little later in the day, on “YouTube” only.  That is all I have for now and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of the Elders or myself.

God’s Blessings,

Mike, President
